Summer on the Slopes at Steamboat Springs

The Colorado Rockies are not only for ski season — the high country is where you go to escape the last of the summer heat. We are heading for Steamboat Springs / Bob Adams Field (KSBS) in the Yampa Valley, where 4,452 feet of runway and the field's elevation will test your airplane and your planning: on a hot afternoon the density altitude can pass 10,000 feet, so choose your aircraft accordingly.

Fly in for the day, or make Steamboat your departure point and go somewhere — either way round counts. 10am-5pm Eastern on Sunday 6 September, which is 1400-2100z.
